Full of energy and a thirst for action I head out on foot for the Schanzenviertel: I’m sure you’ll like wandering along the Susannnenstraße, the Schanzenstrasse and all the other little streets with their numerous small shops as much as I do!  

What you have to take time for first is a stop at the Rindermarkthalle. In the old central cattle market you can now find an exciting mix of a covered farmer’s market, culinary offerings and a cultural community center.

A walk through the park Planten un Blomen rounds off the afternoon perfectly: you can relax in one of the park’s many themed gardens, perhaps in a little sunny spot? It gets really romantic here on summer evenings: the water and light show set to beautiful music is breathtaking and for free.
